| PC-Telephone v3.2 - lets you use your computer as a telephone, fax machine, voice-mail client, and data transfer system. PC-Telephone integrates the common computer telephony with Internet telephony (voice over IP) in a single user interface, letting you exploit the full communication potential of the Internet, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), and Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). You can place and receive PC-to-phone, phone-to-PC, phone-to-phone, and PC-to-PC phone calls; use the caller ID feature for incoming calls; automatically answer incoming phone calls after a specified delay; and automatically dial outgoing phone calls. The program features call forwarding, waiting, screening, and transferring functions; logging capabilities; the ability to mute your voice on selected calls; audio conferencing; and full-duplex recording capability. You can also encrypt your calls (PC-to-PC phone calls only), send data files, schedule data transfers, send and receive fax documents, schedule fax transfers, set up multiple mailboxes which can be accessed remotely, send instant messages to any phone, and manage a phone book. The program runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar. |
