| ActiveDiary v3.0.4 - is an RSA-encrypted, password-protected diary/journal application. Much more than a place to write and secure journal entries, ActiveDiary is a tool chest of functions designed to help you organize thoughts, ideas, business activities, and more. It can hold an unlimited number of accounts, so everyone in your family/office can have their own environment, with multiple calendar-based or free form (hierarchical tree) diaries. The Microsoft Outlook style interface maximizes data reuse with its "Import/Export Engine" (for HTML, RTF, ASCII, CSV, Microsoft Word, Access and Outlook formats) and "Print Engine" (with preview capability and fully customizable settings for borders, margins, and headers/footers). A built-in editor supports multiple fonts, colors, sizes, bold/italic/underline/strike, bullet lists, paragraph formats, indents, embedded/linked graphics, videos, sounds, Web links, e-mail links, FTP links, and more. Enhanced editor functions include "AutoCorrect" (automatic replacing of shortcuts and misspelled words), multilingual spell checking, a thesaurus, text styles, and drag and drop of text/items. The "Welcome Page" presents a personalized greeting, complete with quote/tip of the day, and reminders of upcoming obligations. Other features include a "Goal Manager," "VirtualSafe" (for storing important numbers and passwords), "VSEncryption Engine" (for encrypting/decrypting files via "Blowfish 64"), and "QuickVault" (which locks the program after a period of inactivity). A "Biography" section lets you work on personal memoirs, while the "Scrapbook" keeps mixed media for future use and "Sticky Notes" keep important information handy. "Contact Manager helps you track friends and associates, and "List Builder" prompts you with topics to spark ideas for a novel or memoir. |
