| Fast Plans v7.0 - lets you quickly draw professional residential floor plans. Fast Plans is automated so you can spend time designing instead of drawing. You can begin by selecting the "Easy Layout" option, which lets you mark the corners of external walls, answer questions on external walls, move around a few rooms (they can be auto aligned), and rotate or adjust room sizes. This produces a basic plan layout of the ground floor. Then you simply add doors, windows, more rooms, library items, and more (and no drawing is needed).If you already know the outer dimensions and layout of the design to draw, you can begin by selecting the "Normal Layout" option, instead of the "Easy Layout" option.Fast Plans also includes a SunTrak feature that lets you lay out your rooms to take advantage of the sun. SunTrak will plot the sun position against your design for each hour of daylight for both the longest and the shortest day of the year. Other features of Fast Plans include: measurements in metric or feet and inches; auto insertion of windows, and single, double and sliding doors; external walls (auto draws up to 5 lines); internal walls (draws double line partitions); auto draw (complete rooms with dimensions and text); the ability to design up to three storeys (auto draw, including electrical plans); the ability to save drawing in bitmap format; and more. |
